Seeta Sindhu Bhavan continues with its Sunday cultural programmes. Cheti chand was celebrated on 13th April. Dr. Moti Prakash who has now settled in Mumbai, along with Kala Prakash attended the morning programme. He released book of poetry Vasdev Nirmal. Lal Hardasani, Murli Adnani and Jairam Rupani also joined in. Vikram Shahani, Bansi Khubchandani were present too. Vasdev Nirmal is a Sahitya Akademi awardee and has many books to his credit. Students under Guidance of Shobha Bhambhani performed dance on Jhulal ustati. Shobha has been doing her best to teach Sindhi to Sindhi students in National college for over 8 years or so. We need more Sindhi ladies like her to do their bit for spreading the word to be a Sindhi- speak in Sindhi with Sindhis. Amrita Lalchandani conducted the full programme in a very soothing and with in good Sindhi. The upbringing really makes a difference. She is the grandchild of Thakur and Paru Chawla , daughter of Shobha and Ram Lalchandani. I feel Seeta Sindhu Bhavan has capable Sindhi women to continue with the tradition of providing a MACNH [exposure] to upcoming artists. This will continue for ever, I am sure. Asha Bhawan and Kumar Sonis Kalams and youngsters performed well. Dadi Paru Chawla was at her best. We Shall continue to remember Dada Thakur Chawla.
