September 15, 2104 Day 211 Fall is just around the corner according to the calendar but it fells like fall already. Today as we bundled up to go over to Grma an Grpa Smiths, Evie just smiled and seemed to enjoy having on one of the hats daddy made for her. She loves riding in the car and just smiled with pleasure as we put her in the car seat. All the things we take for granted doing every day are exciting and new for Evie. She lights up and checks out everything completely. Thankfully, today was a less pukey day for Evie. It seems some days she will puke every hour and then days like today when it was less. I am glad for days like this because it gives her esophagus a break from bile coming up - which must burn her. Those times when I watch her vomit and know she is so uncomfortable breaks my heart. I have learned to vent her at different times of the day. It is like burping her stomach by opening her Gtube and allowing the air bubbles in her stomach leave through the tube. The tube will also drain the bile from her tummy. It can help her feel instant relief and it also can help her to not puke. We have had the Gtube almost 2 months and have been so thankful for getting that ngtube out of Evies nose/throat. Evie is now thriving and now weighs 11lb 15oz to 12lbs. We are feeling blessed!
