Sermon:12/10/2014. Pastor Ken ministering THE ONE THING. One of the things that enable our growth is concentrating on doing one thing at a time. There is one thing that God has called every one of us to, God has not called us to be busy but to be fruitful. God is not glorified by our busyness but He is interested in our fruitfulness. EXAMPLES OF ONE THING PURSUERS: DAVID: Psalm 27:4. David desires to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life. The main purpose God created man is for fellowship. In Eden, God gave man work to do but He also walk with them. God want to walk with us so that He will empower us to work for Him and be fruitful. Enoch walked with God and God took him, God did not allow him to see death. Walking with God beautifies our lives. APOSTLE PAUL: Philippians 3:13-14. Paul focuses on one thing and that is-the future. Make an effort, press forward to move ahead. Dont look behind. Paul did not move forward with aimless desire but towards the prize of Christ high calling. JESUS CHRIST: Luke 10:42 Jesus declared the one thing that is most important. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus hearing his word. Martha was distracted by serving. Service is good but sitting by Jesus feet is needful than other things BLIND MAN:John 9:24-25 the one thing this blind know is i was blind but now i can see. In the midst of the challenges and controversies of religion and unbelief in the world, what do you know about Jesus? What testimony do you have of your salvation. Dont be a contract staff/ believer with God because there are benefits you cannot receive until you become a permanent staff.
