Serve DC - The Mayors Office on Volunteerism invites youth to participate in the 2014 Youth Service Leadership Summit. As part of Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) 2014 activities, Serve DC will host its inaugural Youth Service Leadership Summit for high school students in grades 10-11. The Youth Service Leadership Summit is a free, interactive half-day event designed to empower students to harness the power of service and volunteerism to positively address community needs. Participants will engage in workshops and a peer-to-peer networking lunch. When: Saturday, April 5, 2014 9:30am to 2pm Where: Charles E. Sumner School 1201 17th St NW Washington, DC 20036 Registration is open to all 10th and 11th grade students who are District residents. The registration and application submission deadline is Friday, March 21st. Applicants selected to participate will be notified by Monday, March 24th.
