Seven is my #..... 1. I have survived two tornadoes. One in 1984 and one in 1990 when I lived in Plainfield as a child. The first tornado, my dad and I couldnt make it to the bathroom which was our tornado hideout. He threw me onto the kitchen floor and laid on top of me just as the tornado hit our house. I opened my eyes and saw the back patio doors being sucked out. Thanks dad for saving my life, love you! 2. I had my picture taken with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen from Full House while at Disney World. They were escorted directly in front of our family while waiting for a ride when I was in the 6th grade. 3. My first Concert was to see Alanis Morissette with Libby Arnold Brockman in High School. She was my chaperone that night. Libby later became my Matron of Honor at our wedding and is one of my closest friends, love you girl:) 4. The reason that Dragonflys are so important to me is that they symbolize a loss. I got my Dragonfly tattoo after we lost our baby at 4 months into our pregnancy, with Jackie Smith who was there for me during that difficult time 100%, love you Jackie. Dragonflys transform into something new......now 2 1/2 years later, we have Ayden in our life! 5. I talk to my mom, Michelle Smith on the phone at least 5 times every day because she is my BFF. She is always there for me and is such an amazing Grammy to my kiddos:) Love you mom! 6. My first date with Bryan was a at Steak N Shake. He picked me up with $100 in his pocket. He asked me where I wanted to go as we were driving through Joliet. I told him Steak N Shake was fine. He spent $7 on the bill since I only had a burger and a glass of water. Afterwards we went to see Titanic and it was sold out in both Joliet and Naperville so we ended up at Culvers for frozen custard. I paid and it was $8. He took me back home by 9:00. He told his friends later that hed never see me again. Little did he know, I liked him and would call him the next day and we went out again. The rest is history, Bryan Lane....I love you:) 7. My kids are my reason for everything I do. Our journey having each of them has been its own story. We didnt think we could get PG with Justin and after 3 years of trying, and began our journey to adopt. We met with a birthmother and she picked us. 2 weeks later, we were PG with Justin. Then, we tried for 1 and 1/2 years to get PG with Molly. We had IVF 3 times to get PG with her. We suffered a loss and decided to go down the foster care path. That path lead us to Ayden. Hopefully by spring his last name will change to Lane! Our kids are our life and we love them with all our hearts and all our souls!
