#ShareIfYouAreBlessed! SAT 29/11/2014 CONSEQUENCIES OF WALKING AWAY 2 Psm1:1-2; Prov24:10; Luk15:12-16 When a man walks away from God, he walks away from destiny and from divine formation. Such a man has walked away from discipline and safety, and at such a time he becomes prone to several negative trends. The devil will take turns of afflictions over you and you will become a football pitch for the host of darkness. It is a dangerous thing for a man to walk away from God. When Abiathar ran to David in the wilderness from the hand of Saul, the only condition of safety that David gave him was: Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard. The devil may come roaring at you, always remember that he is just like a lion, he is not near being one, if you think of a safer place than His presence, you have fallen for the deception of the devil and you will soon fall to his sword of affliction. There are negative consequences awaiting the one that walked away, they are: i) Wastages and riotous living: There are several things that being around God will settle in your life. Not that you will not need them, but because you are around God, He will be the one financing it for you; but if you dare walk away, that is when you will know what God has been shouldering. ii) Famine: In your father’s house, you have access to everything you want; not until you work for it, it is a right, but if you walk away, you will begin to experience famine because you may have to beg for it. iii) In want, always in lack: Your sufficiency is in God, with Him, you will lack nothing because He said He will supply your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus, but away from Him, you have no sufficiency, in fact you have nothing. iv) Strange living: Strange experiences that are not allowed in your life because you were in the presence of God begins to happen, the prodigal son was willing to eat from the meal of the pigs because he walked away from his father. He was reduced to nothing. The things that the presence of the father was chasing away now had a free space to operate around his life because the father is no more there. v) Slavery: With the father, you are a son, but outside Him, you are a slave; it doesn’t matter where else you meet yourself. PRAYER POINT: - Lord, I appreciate being a son in Your presence, I refuse to walk away no matter what the devil is doing around me.
