Shared by Abdul Bhat:- What I gathered from little conversation with philanthropists : 1. Doctors should practice free for next six months , it matters in present circumstances. But while practising free take it as a national duty & do it with dignity. 2. All private functional hospitals should conduct surgeries on no profit no loss basis for next one year. Salute to Ahmad Hospital which has been leading hospital in not only philanthropist work but doubling up as a refugee camp & has fed thousands of people daily. 3.Private schools which are a huge profit making industry in Kashmir , should follow suit & allow as much as free period , preferably not less than six months. 4. The details of camaraderie appearing are heart-warming particularly about management of 2 large camps managed by civilians - Jamia Masjid & Sanat Nagar marriage hall. People were treated with such compassion & dignity that one has to hear the first hand account to believe it. 5. The loud & clear scenario on ground zero is shocking - there is no govt on ground , neither state nor central. People just get angry even on the mention of these alien , inimical names ! 6. The biggest shock is that telecom companies in Kashmir , which have on an average 4 million customers each : have been not only absent from the scene , not bothering about services , but also did not show any interest in any relief work on ground. 7. Should I write the obvious conclusion ? Do I actually need to write it ???
