Shavua Tov (Literal Translation: Good Week) It is a new week; a new beginning [of a new month]. We move forward, and each step we take has a purpose. Though we may not all have the same level of clarity, everything happens for a reason, and there is good in every evil; from darkness comes light. Don’t look back…the past is behind you; Akuna Matata: it means no worries. Tomorrow I begin my next adventure…I will be en route to London, stepping foot in the UK for the first time, then returning home [to Israel]! Baruch Hashem!!! I am so incredibly excited, thankful, and blessed to have the opportunity to return home [to Zion]… Q1: What will you be doing? A1: I will be learning more about the world around us. I will be learning about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... about religion, my roots, who I am, and where I am going. I will be…growing. Q2: Why? A2: Why not? If not now, then when? I am young, curious, and able. I believe finding meaning, purpose, and clarity will prove more valuable now, than ever. Q3: Don’t you know it’s dangerous over there? A3: Though it may be “dangerous over there”, the dangers stem from prejudice and intolerance… if people put half the energy that they put into committing atrocious acts of hatred, into spreading peace and love, the world would be a better place. I wish to spread this idea, and make a difference. As for the aspect of danger, I feel I am far more vulnerable to danger(s) here, in America [the land of the free], than in Hashem’s living room [the homeland of my people] despite the fact that it is surrounded by people that want to wipe its existence off the map.
