Shaykh Muhammed bin Salih al-Uthaymeen (d.1421 A.H.) said: ‘My instruction to the one who supplicates to Allaah Ta’ala after every obligatory prayer while raising his hands, is to leave that practice and to follow the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- and to adhere to his guidance.
