She who stands with her feet on two shores astride the great - TopicsExpress

She who stands with her feet on two shores astride the great divide, the Crone who keeps Earth mother in her winter resting, now gives way to the keeper of the sacred flame and the young girl who shall appear in the rebirth of spring time. New beginnings, new life. It is at this time of year, after the long winter nights, that the sheep give birth to the lamb. New milk is welcomed with delight. Our mother and sister, Divine Bridhid, or Bride (many ways to say her name) has walked with us through the bitter cold of winter and has kept us warm with her sacred flame. She now brings the promise of spring time, rebirth, as Earth mother stirs from her long sleep. She brings with her the many tools and skills of all the womin through out all the ages who bring nourishment, nurturing, wisdom and healing to her peoples. Though the Christian church tried desperately to abolish this beautiful queen of the feminine, she prevailed. The hearts of the people could not betray our divine lady, keeper of the sacred flame. They finally gave up, and found a way to keep her in their new religion lest they be forced to slaughter all the conquered peoples who held her in heart and soul. Great Bridhid, with her flaming red hair of fire, her brilliant green eyes of emerald, and her glimmering ivory skin could not be put down nor ever destroyed. She is the keeper of the sacred fire that lives with in us all everyone, and though the fires of her shrines may be put out, the fire can never be quenched! She has guided womin and men through out the ages and provided to us the ways that keep us well, happy, and content. She is the keeper of the home and hearth, of the lands and great forges of old. It is at this time that we honor her and call upon her light to continue to warm and keep us through the rest of this wintery season unto the well spring of life that is reflected in the season of spring time. Our Divine lady, Bridhid, we honor you as always we do while we celebrate the turning wheel of life. https://youtube/watch?v=4lbZpKU_6rA
