Shes not a MUM but needs your advice... My case is a peculiar one... I recently moved from abuja back home to PortHarcourt to save my parents business that was at the verge of collapse. I quit my great job, left good friends behind, packed up my life and moved back home to start managing my parents business. It was a good move and everything has been great but for one thing. I am 27 and my younger sister is 22. Shes been like my best friend and I love her to death. Ive been single for a while now, though I had a great social life and lots of friends in Abuja. Here in PH, Ive got no social life, no friends. Aside from the business,my personal life is practically a blur right now, so i find myself craving a relationship again. On the other hand, my sister goes to UNI from home and has a bustling social life. Shes younger and prettier than I am which until now I never noticed or had any problems with. The issue now is she is unknowingly competing with me for the interests of the same men. This makes me really uncomfortable in the social spaces we share like church, family friends, neighborhood etc. Its either the guys Im secretly interested in are have their eyes on her or she has her eyes on the ones that are interested in me. Ive been enduring the situation for a while now but Im at the stage where I want to put an end to this whole thing. I love my sister and want her to explore life, date whoever she wants without feeling awkward about it. So, Im thinking of leaving the business and moving back to Abuja where I have a healthy social and personal life. I think its not healthy for 2 grown single ladies to be in the same social-sphere. In order to not to breed contempt, as experienced people, do you think i should go ahead with my decision or is this just a passing phase that I can wait out?
