Shia LaBeouf expends a lot of energy in CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN (★1/2), the cinematic equivalent of trying to break a fever over and over again. Randomized plot points, about 6 or 7 different genre styles all get tossed into the story of a man compelled by his deceased mother to travel to Bucharest, Romania. He does and we suffer. Rated R, 108 minutes, now playing locally in Tukwila at Southcenter 16.
