Sick and tired of irresponsible people lighting fires!!!! We have been up since 3.30am monitoring the out of control bush fire from Weedong which has jumped Bells Point Road and now buring into Goombaragins property! Thanks to the great response to FESA and the team whom we have been in contact with since early this morning. Their 1 x fire truck (3000ltrs) and 2 x units (utes) and a helicopter that has come to our rescue to help get the fire under control. Thank goodness the fire along the cliffs edge has now gone out but still burning along the middle block. FESA has been in contact with neighbouring communities and have put a great plan to prevent the fire jumping across other roads that could present danger to some of the other communities to the left of Goombaragin.
