Sigh I guess we all have some duality in us. For me, I think I dont care about things too much, but actually I really really do! And so we portray ourselves to others how as think of ourselves and almost dont even like who we are. Caine is the opposite: he thinks he cares about ppl and things a lot and loves ppl to bits, but when it comes down to it, he really really doesnt give a damn. He probably hates this and goes into pure denial about it. But the funny part is ppl show their true colours to me. Im like a truth magnet. So he treated me like he didnt give a damn...but I knew it already. What he gives a damn about are other ppl who dont care about him or give a damn. If he means nothing to you, he will want to win you. Heres something interesting: we didnt quite mesh, and he allowed ppl to tell him that because our relationship required nurturing, it was bad. But he valued it, I know because he had to find back several times. We value what we work for. We go to work at our jobs and we values the living we make...thats not toxic! But somehow ppl think that anything short of being a lazy bum in a relationship makes it toxic. No! You work at it and you earn love and care. If you dont want to work, you get what you get, scraps or whst ever no one else will take. Real love takes work. It takes understanding, communication, care, devotion, acceptance....
