Sigh ....I want to RANT ...really I do... Why is it that it is so hard for me to get my Australian passport?? I am a Citizen, I was born here ..sure I got married to an American....in America...but why is it that my American Marriage license is not allowable?? It seems I need to lodge a Change of Name document ($230 with priority) to get an official document, so that I can pay an additional $350 (for priority) for my passport. My old passport is not good enough, because it expired in 2006.... Anyone know a way around the system?? I know it is supposed to protect us ...but from an Aussie born citizen who got married?? Seems I am getting screwed somehow here!! Franks passport was easier to sort - because all he needed was his old passport and his citizenship papers....(go figure!!) huge Sigh!!
