Since 2001, US foreign policy in the middle east has left two - TopicsExpress

Since 2001, US foreign policy in the middle east has left two million dead, America bankrupt and the middle east in flames. Saddam Hussain and Gaddafi were removed, both strong opponents of Al Qaeda. The USA for the last three years has been pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into Syria, supporting Al Qaeda and other extremist groups against the Assad regime. Why then are we surprised when the same extremists, ISIS or ISIL, a group far more extreme than Al Qaeda, roll into Iraq with arms and vehicles paid for by the US tax payer, to overthrow the US appointed government? Does anybody benefit from such a botched foreign policy?
