Since Hamas and Fatah have unified, attacks are being waged on our closest ally from every angle, not only from the Gaza, but from Judea and Samaria. Most recently, we have seen a rocket launch into Israel and suspected kidnapping of three Jewish teens, including one who is an American citizen. It is my sincere prayer that these precious teens are safely returned immediately. In the strongest terms possible, I fully support Israels right to defend itself against all those who seek to do her harm, including this new unity government with Hamas, a long-standing terrorist organization. Yesterday, we strengthened our efforts to stand by our most important ally when Rep. Bachmann and I introduced a resolution, H.Res.622, to directly address our shared national security concerns related to this new unity government.
