Since the beginning of humanity, politics has been fueled by hate and slander. As I look down my Facebook feed day in and day out, all I see is negativity and harsh criticisms of President Obama, Congress, and liberals/progressives in general. One of the founding principles of American Conservatism is that we try to focus on the issues rather than the people, and attempt to focus on the positive aspects of Conservatism rather than the negative aspects of the progressive ideology. When we do offer criticisms of the progressive and liberal agendas, they are without hatred, without anger, and fueled by history and philosophy. Lets try stopping the overwhelming negativity for once, and maybe more people will be attracted to the actual values of Conservatism rather than our hate-filled rhetoric. Both sides are guilty of this. People will say that this is simply politics, but it is up to us rather we will spread Conservative principles and values or spread hatred and criticism of the other side. - American Conservatism - facebook/ACPatriots
