Since the spring, I have been experimenting with the idea of expanding this pages range of topics beyond the Festival and into areas such as community news. With the pages growth in popularity (based on the number of followers) it made sense to continue to post things here. I have gotten feedback lately that not everyone agrees with this approach, and that the Festival page should only be about festival-related news. I respect this opinion, but also believe that a page that remains active and relevant year around will attract more attention in April when we are promoting the Festival. But, ultimately, it is up to the community of Shepherd to help define what this page should be. Im inviting everyone to message me via the page or via the email address cyberlandhq@gmail with your thoughts. Im open to suggestions and feedback. I had set up a group which was intended to help coordinate the promotion of news and information, but I think there was some confusion about its purpose. Over the weekend, I made sure to eliminate any Shepherd-related groups, so now the best way to get a hold of page admins is to send a message to the page. If you are an organization or committee leader who would like to work with me to promote your events or information, let me know. I have been working on a way to streamline the process of getting news out to the community via Facebook. If you have an event, news, or information that you would like to share with the community, please feel free to post it on the page, or send a private message to the page.
