Since this is a Remembrance Day of a civil rights activist I would like to question how civil we are . In 1619 the Dutch introduced African slavery to American colonist. With the invention of the Cotten Jin of 1793 and the beginning of the civil war 1861 this gave 68 prime years of African slavery . Native American slavery starting in 1492 - through arguably 2015 giving 523 years of slavery and oppression to indigenous people . Native American woman are reported to be victims of rape 1and 4 of everyone woman . Not counting south and Central American indigenous woman being raped on boarders. Child enslavement and in case theres any question to why I say there is slavery today . Just who do you think works the Cotten fields now . Which brings me to my final thought. Why do people think the America is so civil or slavery is at an end . Or is it just that fixing the abuse of a minority is expected and the abuse of the growing majority and the original people of these lands is accepted .
