Sing a New Song O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done - TopicsExpress

Sing a New Song O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have wrought salvation for Him. —Psalm 98:1 Your thought life is directly related to your attitude. In other words, what you think secretly in your heart is expressed in your words, facial expressions, and attitude. Would you rather be around people who have rotten attitudes or people with humble attitudes, thankful attitudes, positive attitudes, and responsible attitudes? Take an attitude inventory. If your attitude was a song, would it be Make the World Go Away, Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head, I Did It My Way, or Oh, What a Beautiful Morning? Fresh, new ways of thinking will produce a fresh, new attitude, and that will enable you to sing the Lord a new song. Power Thought: I will sing to the Lord a new song, for He is doing marvelous things in my life! Profit In All Labor You may not feel like you have an exciting job. But, I want to tell you that you are where God has placed you and you are there for a specific purpose. Proverbs 14:23a says, In all labor there is profit. Some people think that work is the punishment for sin. Lets set the record straight. God gave Adam work to do before he ever sinned. Genesis 2:15 says, And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Why a garden? Because people have to eat. People also have to have houses to live in, furniture to sit on, food to eat, and clothes to wear. When we are helping provide, process, distribute, or produce any of these types of things, we are participating with God as much as Adam was when he was taking care of the Garden of Eden. Your Personal Value If you are godly, you are wealthy. Your personal value is revealed not by money, but by godliness. So many times we look at a mans stocks, bonds, real estate, and possessions, and we say, He is worth this or that. You cannot measure worth by money. Godliness is worth more than a bank account. Do you know how to find out what an item is worth? Find out what somebody will pay for it. I don’t care how much you think all that stuff is worth. Try to sell it and then you will know what it is worth. First Peter 1:18-19 says, Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Jesus died for you. You are valuable. Jesus poured out his rich, red, royal blood for you. Don’t ever measure your worth by your bank account.Where is contentment found? Look in the Word of God: But godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
