Sir Ken Robinson, talks about how the current education system does not value all forms of education. In a very entertaining manner, it puts across an important point - Kids prosper best with a broad curriculum that celebrates their various talents, not just a range of them. He emphasis the role of teacher and aptly says - The role of a teacher is to facilitate learning. But, right now our children and teachers are encouraged to follow complex algorithms rather than excite that power of imagination and creativity. After the screening, many of us talked about the our experiences during school and college. All agreed, the subject each one of us liked had an amazing teacher who could ignite the curiosity in that subject. We learnt about the schools that have employed different techniques to see to it that CREATIVITY is awakened and developed and not just standardization. In this talk, Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity. Extremely INSPIRING!!! https://youtube/watch?v=wX78iKhInsc
