Sitting here in a room next to my dads bed as he lays sleeping. As his life is coming to an end its hard to know what to say so I sit here just letting him know I am here. They say he is my dad but theres not a lot of physical resemblance of the man I remember. The dad that worked so hard to help raise 7 children. Good times and bad he always provided for us. As I sit here my heart and mind are full of memories. Sadness comes over me in waves as it seems time has gone so fast, and it was just yesterday I was bugging him to borrow the car or stay over night at a friends house. Funny times when he would laugh so hard he would be taking off his glasses and wiping his eyes from the tears. He loved to laugh and have a good time. Mom and him could dance together like no other. So fun to watch them. One day soon he will be joining her where she is waiting to welcome him home. He will be missed by all of us greatly but he will live on through all his children and grand children and great grandchildren. God gave me the parents I was suppose to have who have made into the woman I am today. I am thankful to you oh God! I pray dads journey will be a peaceful transition into glory. So hard to grasp the reality of it all. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. God bless you. :-)
