Skagit Community Acupuncture is totally off the hook with samaritan actions... please share this with friends in Darrington! Email I received today: Dear Frank, Skagit Community Acupuncture is joining forces with a dozen other acupuncturists (that number is growing) that are providing free acupuncture to the community of Oso, WA following the incredible mudslide that rocked us all last weekend. Acupuncturists Without Borders has come to the call of those in need following several disasters across the country, and I am happy to work side by side with them. We come in, set up shop, and provide what we call 5 Needle Protocol - a set of 5 acupuncture points in the ear that are particularly effective at treating acute shock, grief, stress, and PTSD. If I have ever treated you for addiction or detox it is the same 5 points we use for that - they are super versatile and easy to access in almost any setting. PLEASE take a moment to like SCA on Facebook so you can get all of the updates on where acupuncture is being offered. We are here for anyone and everyone affected by this event, and that may very well include you. https://facebook/SkagitCommAcu For now, there is acupuncture at the Oso Fire station in the afternoons as well as at the Arlington 7th Day Adventist Church (713 N. Talcott) from 4-8pm - this last one is being generously headed by licensed acupuncturist Elsa Del Toro (425-876-0073) and the Church has graciously offered their space indefinitely. All of this is free, and our hope is to be open EVERY DAY. Lets take care of each other. Lets spread the word. Also, if you are so inclined and would like to donate an extra $5 when you come in, there will be a jar out to collect money so I can buy extra needles for the effort. A box of 1000 needles costs $23.00. 5 Needle Protocol takes, you guessed it, 5 needles, so we can provide 200 treatments with one box, in these types of settings we hope to provide THOUSANDS of treatments to the community, with many repeat people, including the heroic search & rescue, fire fighters, medical personnel as well as the vast number of huge hearted volunteers. I just placed an order for an extra 4 boxes, and will keep on providing for as long as it is wanted. I am also donating a dozen of our super comfy well loved blankets to the cause. I know youll agree that adds to the relaxation. If you feel inclined to support my support, I would graciously accept it. Youre mere presence here at SCA allows me to do all of this good work. So thank you. On the upside On another note, Stacie Zinn Roberts of Whats Your Avocado? interviewed me last week for her web show, and it went great. I hope you will take 20 minutes to watch this great informative and fun interview. It explains what we do here (and why), as well as the Affordable Wellness Project, and more than anything it showcases what I am passionate about and why I do what I do the way that I do it. This is a great video to share with others who you think would be interested in all the magic that we do over here. Here is the link to Stacies great show: https://youtube/watch?v=bBHJNk86yoE (Preview) So much love and gratitude for all of you. With honor, Hadea
