So, A few bookworms in the form of Nanda and Anup want me to list out the best books I read, under some challenge. I dont know where it sprung up from, but yeah, its in a way good because you dont have to dump a bucket of water. Heres the list. Not in any particular order. A word of caution: Im a bore. You might feel these boring as well. 1) Sailing Home- Norman Fischer (If you are the one who wont mind much to read a line twice or thrice and then, read the entire paragraph all over again, this is the book for you. Probably, the only book that I read twice.) 2) Things fall apart- Chinua Achebe (Its better to be an underdog.) 3) To the light house- Virginia Woolf (There is something about the British authors when it comes to narration.) 4) War and peace- Leo Tolstoy (This would certainly feel you bored at first, after all, we dont know about our own country, forget about Russia. Leave aside what you know and what you dont, read this just for Leo Tolstoy.) 5) Gulivers travels- Jonathan Swift (Theres a kid in everyone.) 6) A brief history of time- Stephen Hawking (If you arent interested in knowing about how the universe works, this isnt the book for you. Sorry, I cant help it.) 7) The Greatest: Muhammad Ali- Walter Dean Myers (Inspirational. The hardships that he faced before becoming a champion.) Moving from wars, science, historical fiction to something interesting, which they call, Wait.! Theres something called GENRE and theres something called ROMANCE, you put those two together. 8) A walk to remember- Nicolas Sparks ( In every way, a walk to remember.) 9) Mrs. Drew plays her hand- Carla Kelly (No bad thoughts, please.) 10) Oranges are not the only fruit- Jeanette Winterson (Is there anything thats more interesting than the illicit affairs? And, what not? It comes in with some humour too.) Looks like Kirty is done with his list. Otherwise, he would be in this list first. Should look at his list though.! Okay then, Ill start something called the #SongsBucketChallenge for him.:P Now, let me hand over the baton to Krishna Chaitanya, Sriram Eragam Reddy, Ganesh Sai Repaka, Apurva Ghanshani, Kishan Kandirelli, Linares A. Sara, Alekhya Akira, Faseeh Amin, Kishore Venkata wrote his name purposely in hindi and I am not able to tag him. Such an idiot.:P
