So, Greg Owen challenged me to the ice bucket thing and Ive had a good think about how to respond. Im certainly not averse to doing hard/silly stuff either for fun or charity (or both), but on this occasion Im going to decline. Like most people I give to charities of my own choosing and, as a rule, respond negatively to pressure to do pretty much anything. I prefer to make my own choices. For example, Im supporting a group of friends this coming weekend as they take on a tough challenge: lejourdefrance.org.uk/2014/#/ and I urge (but dont compel) you to do the same. Its a good thing to support people taking on tough challenges whether they involve ice water, bikes, both or indeed anything else.
