So, I am in receipt of the 2014-15 budget and my jaw hit the floor. Flag pole - Replace $5,950 Telephone System - $11,025 Parking Lot lights - $5,900 Four Vehicles @ $26,000/ each Message board sign - $18,000 Refurbish security office and kitchen $39,650 More flag poles EQC $$11,900 Boats $$$$$$$$$$ Riding lawn mowers $$$$$$$ My Lord, what a waste of money. $6K for a flag pole. How does this get passed. Are the kitchens functional and security office functional, how about rebuilding the motors in the security vehicles for $4-5K??? $6K for a flag pole? Message sign board (works fine) $18,000. Did I mention $6K for a flag pole? Wow, in a depressed economy this is insane. If all of us home owners were upgrading our homes, installing pools, granite, carpet, etc, etc. I might say, the economy is great, why not. But people are struggling, they are raising our dues again, for upgrades that are not necessary. Why dont you table some of these projects and work on our entrance that looks like crap?????? OK, Im done. Oh, did I mention a $6,000 flag pole.
