So I am now down to two weeks before I leave Chicago bound for Kathmandu, Nepal. Aside from the extreme excitement Im feeling about the trip there is a little apprehension about international travel. I havent left the country since 1989, and Im sure things have changed a lot since then. At that time I had my dear, late grandmother, the travel agent and world traveler, to help me prepare, but today I have only the internet to rely on. If any of my friends are more experienced with this and have any advice to offer, Id love to hear it.
