So I attended the Chris Stewart-Luz Robles debate last night in Cedar. The first question was about Common Core. Robles said that Common Core are standards. Not curriculum. She said that across-the-country standards are good because they will make it easier for kids who move from state to state to transition. Okay so ... if Common Core is just standards and NOT curriculum, why not give those standards to local school boards to CHOOSE whether they want to follow them or not. Dont attach money to their implementation. And they say conservatives are not willing to compromise. I suspect many conservatives would be okay with this compromise.
