So I fronted at the Mareeba hospital yesterday arvo to get some help for my sinus infection. Thanks to my badly smashed head, when I get like this it really sits me on my arse. Anyway, after a 3.5 hour wait I was finally seen. The doctor said sorry youve had to wait so long, we only have a couple of doctors on and were struggling just to keep up. I said thats not your fault and asked why so few doctors? She told me people are just packing up and leaving QLD. I asked if it was really that bad and she said its the worst and most demoralising its ever been to work in health in this state. I said we need to get rid of Newman and his evil lot before they do any more harm. She said the sooner the better. Anyway, got some antibiotics and some panedine so big thanks to all the overworked people at Mareeba hospital. And to all the health professionals over the state and country. Your work is admirable and necessary. Please stop leaving our state. Lets get rid of the problem instead.
