So I just got around to making pesto with my scapes I bought from Island Garlic at our market awhile back. I made three kinds. One was with pine nuts, bright and green and garlicky, my second was with pecans, dark and earthy. The third with smoked almonds! Vibrant green with sweetness from the almonds but also the smoke added so much to it! Put that on some pasta with some bacon, oh my! All packed in small containers and in the freezer.
