So I just had the oddest interaction with the woman ringing me out at kohls. She started a polite convo with me about the shoes I was buying (for Trent for the wedding this weekend) when I told her what try were for she started lecturing me!!! Telling me I am putting too much pressure on him as a 15 month old and if he doesnt make it down the aisle I cant be mad. I joked and said his cousin will drag him down the aisle and she was appalled! Telling me us young mothers try to make our kids too perfect and that he should go barefoot. And I am lucky that I even found shoes because I waited until the last minute and that I should be using a coupon. I just smiled and said thank you and left with my shoes. What I really wanted to say is I dont care if he ends up half naked and I have to carry him. Its an honor for him to be beside my best friend on her wedding day. If she knew my life at all she would know I was running to get shoes during the only free 30 minutes I have this week. That I could give a shit about a coupon right now and I work hard to make sure I dont NEED a coupon (though I try to use them still). Take a step back and realize you know nothing about someones life so if you feel the need to judge them so so silently. Or better yet, dont judge them.
