So I just logged on and read the wonderful comments of support for my effort to run The Bear 100 Mile Endurance Run. It was an incredible experience that did not, ultimately, turn out the way I wanted. Your support means a great deal and I wish I could have produced a better result for you all. Nevertheless I feel very good about everything but the ending. I felt strong and positive the entire time, expect for an hour or two where I was a bit sleepy and when my knee failed. The decision to drop at mile 70 was essentially made for me because my knee no longer worked, nevertheless it was incredibly difficult and depressing. I will be working this over in my mind for a long time. I said before the race that this would probably be my first and last 100 but now it seems I have some unfinished business so we will see....Thanks so much for your help and encouragement while serving as pacers, crew, and loudest and best cheering squad: Darin McGinnis Tandberg, Van Aston, Christian Sabey, Peter Sabey, Julie Tandberg, Diane Kowallis Fifield
