So I saw a couple of white kids on the streets down town. Bewildered, I slowed pace from a 5km/h trek, drifted across the road and sought a conversation with a girl among the mix. She ignored me completely at first. Although visibly tensed I was unscathed and opted for one more try. I mean, you guys have it all. What would be worth your while here? I held my heart anticipating another woeful silence when she turned softly and said I wanna see the goats cross the road. I wanna step on their droppings if thats any consolation. I wanna take a leak in the streets every once in a while. I want the feel of dust and the African sun. I wanna evade tax even if only for once. Oh and em I wanna spray the naira notes during festive moods. Her crew jeered. They must have thought she was on point. But I saw the flipside. I thought for a second as I slid out of the gang, that she may have fancied our freedom
