So I wanted to give poetry a shot.. Hitting on a topic thats pretty close to home but its a message to every girl who doesnt feel perfect. Hope you like it ☺️ Daddy’s little girl, she doesn’t know how to be When her top role model is a stick on a TV With plastic surgery A face that is fake A personality that’s no give and all take Come on Why can’t she open her eyes and just see She beautiful, perfect, the best she can be Daddy even told her there are demons out there They’ll judge you on image and the clothes she will wear That you’re not a size 0, or a millionaire It’s not a disadvantage and you shouldn’t care They don’t know you- and wont know- who you really are That to your daddy you are a super star She’s got a smile of her face that she knows she can’t keep Knowing the next day that she’ll be so unhappy With her weight and her face and her looks non-stop Cause she doesn’t look like she’s been Photo-shopped The boys they will laugh and she knows they will stare And looks make a wound that just cant be repaired You don’t know how hurtful words tend to be To a fragile girl, when you use them daily And how she’s ‘stupid’ because she doesn’t have a degree But according to society- This is okay, To lead her mind from the truth, so astray Making her think she’s inept and no good When actually, she is! Just misunderstood She’s bright and she’s innocence covered withmud, sand and soot Shes Motherhood dragginga doll by the foot. She’s being the girl she was born to be Waiting for her prince she deserves effortlessly So don’t let the bad things outweigh the good Leaving you with what if, cant and could You’re perfect, you’re you, youre just how you are And you’ll always be daddy’s’ super star.
