So, I was challenged by the lovely and gracious @[154867487887428:Author CK Webb] to do two things: take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and name the fifteen novels that were most influential to me. Since I lagged just long enough that the Ice Bucket Challenge is pretty well over, I decided to combine the two challenges as punishment for my tardiness. I also donated to the ALSA. For the Ice Bucket Challenge, I nominate anyone who hasnt done it yet to visit ALSA.ORG, learn about ALS, and to be charitable and to donate, either to this organization or another that you feel strongly about. For the challenge of naming the fifteen most influential novels in your life, I nominate my @[234620403401070:Podthingy] co-hosts, @[520248277:Blayne Alexander], @[219102811438864:Geek Outlaw], and @[119617241420924:Hot Nerd Girl]. I also nominate authors @[543638178:Hugh Howey], @[95611228741:Nancy Holder], @[315282651893655:Joshua Silverman], and @[335023186629022:Matthew Kadish]. Remember, these arent your favorite novels, just the ones that most influenced you. For those of you in drought areas like mine who are worried about the wasted water, I reused the ice water from a cooler at an event this weekend. I also did this on my slowly dying front lawn. My fifteen novels are: Lord of the Flies – William Golding Something Wicked This Way Comes – Ray Bradbury Boy’s Life – Robert McCammon The Time Machine – HG Wells Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Roald Dahl I Am Legend – Richard Matheson Ender’s Game – Orson Scott Card Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Douglas Adams Dracula – Bram Sticker Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – Hunter S. Thompson The Shining – Stephen King Call of the Wild – Jack London Frankenstein – Mary Shelley Snow Crash – Neal Stephenson To Kill a Mockingbird – Harper Lee Special Mention: Collected Poems – Edgar Allan Poe
