So I was in Sportchek earlier trying on a pair of nikes and a little boy sat down beside me while his mom helped him try on cleats. He looked at me and just said ‘hey cool drawings!’ then told his mom he wanted to go home and ask his dad for drawings on him, too. His mom laughed and said maybe but defiantly not those kinds of drawings because they weren’t drawn on with markers like his at home and wouldn’t just wash off after. The kid asked me how they got there then, and I just told him a special kind of artist did them with his special tools. He was looking at me and nodding and made a comment about how yeah, he’d heard about the special artist guy and that ‘wow he didn’t even go out of the lines once..he really must be the best artist in the world.’ I just smiled and said ‘yeah, Omri’s the best for sure’ and the boy got such a horrified expression on his face and whipped his head back to his mom, glaring, and yelled (pretty loudly I might add, in the busy store) ‘mom you lied to me! You told me the best artist in the worlds name was jesus. I hate you, you lied to me’ and kicked off the shoes he was trying on and booked it out of the store. Um yeaaah..ooops hahaha as much as it makes me an awful person, I’m already a shoe-in for hell so meh I’m fine admitting I died laughing at that. #mybad #imonlyalittlesorry
