So I was trapping tonight in at the HUD Housing area where I have been since March! Things were going well and I trapped the Mom and one of her kittens that are living in the woods across from the houses. I left there to take and drop off a kitten to Peg Chaff, who is so kind to step up and foster again! As I leave her house and just reach Route 8, I realize that there is a cat sitting beside me meowing. I sat there and it took a few moments for me to realize it was the Mama Cat and she had somehow got herself out of the trap!!!!!!!!!! So there I am with a loose cat in the car, just wondering around, and laying on the dash. I coaxed her into the carrier, and as you can tell in the pics she ended up covered in it. She is cleaning herself up and will be spayed in the morning :) I am thinking she may not be too feral as she was pretty easy to get into the carrier. I can only guess the look on my face was priceless when I turned and saw her face to face! LOL
