So Im at work today and Im making sales calls to set up appointments and I decided to call on a very old list of names we had purchased from an outside vendor for life insurance needs. We had already called that list a few years ago but I decided to try again. I reached my normal stopping point and I just felt the need to continue so about 4 calls later I called the number and asked for the name on the list. The woman that answered said that she was a neighbor and that the ladies husband had just passed away TWO HOURS ago!! We talked to them 2 years ago about life insurance and they were not interested. Her husband was 38 and found out 4 weeks ago that he had pancreatic cancer. He came home from the hospital yesterday and died hours later! His wife is 27 and is 4 months pregnant with their second child. Their oldest is 2 1/2. She quit working 4 weeks ago to care for him and he obviously was unable to work anymore. They were unable to pay their rent this month due to no jobs and the landlord is giving her 7 days to move out! She has no family, she was adopted and both of her parents passed away! This poor girl is in dire need of help! Apparently the landlord is having the water turned off to force her out. Im trying to get meals together for this family and any means of help that we can do. Please message me if you would like to help!! So very tragic! If you dont have life insurance GET IT!!! You NEVER know when you will be unable to purchase it because of a diagnosis and none of us are guaranteed tomorrow!
