So Im driving back from Killeen and on my way into Florence I see a small delivery truck broke down. It said steakhouse supply so I stopped and asked if the guy had a flyer. He said hes been waiting an hour for a tow truck and needs to head to San Antonio, another two hours away. His engine and refrigeration unit just died on him. I gave him a ride to get something to drink about a mile down the road and he asked if I wanted to buy his stock, which he may have to throw away. He sold me two boxes of steaks for $75 each, his wholesale price. Each box contains 22 steaks and 12 1/2 pound hamburger patties, vacuum sealed. They looked just as good as Omaha Steaks. I got 44 Steaks and 24 burger patties for $150. That averages to $2.20 per serving for 68 servings. You will see these kinda of guys on the road. Their usual spiel if you sign up, is to buy a case for $399 and theyll give you a second one free. Not a good deal! See the flyer ad, for the boxes he gave me. Anyway I would never buy from them but if you see one broke down...
