So, Im standing in line at the pharmacy at WalMart on Nelson this evening when this older gentleman gets in line behind me and strikes up a conversation. I do my best to discourage him but he continues and asked me if I know who he is. I didnt, so he tells me his name is David Allen, and then spells out COE. Says he cut his hair and shaved because he didnt want people to recognize him. Asked me if I heard any of his music, to which I nodded slowly YES. Didnt believe him for a minute...he goes on very loudly telling me about his family and daughters and how he was visiting to help care for his grand daughters and he had just finished a show at the casino. Then says he moved here to live with one of his daughters and they lived right across the street in that big white house. Had his Limo driver bring him to the Pharmacy to pick his little grand daughters medicine. Being the polite gal that I am, I just nodded and smiled a little. Totally lost it though when he mentions that his sister lives in Moss Bluff.....you know.....right off MAPLEWOOD Drive.....there on the left :) I wanted so bad to tell him I grew up in Moss Bluff but I really just wanted away from him! Dude was seriously thinking we all thought we was Walter Allen Coe...he just goes by David.....oh, and by the way...next week, hell be in Austin doing a stand up comedy for $400 a night plus room and meals.....
