So Ive got 6 hours until I set off on the biggest adventure of my lifetime, Ecuador, at 2am. Ill be spending 4 weeks in South America as part of a World Challenge expedition, trekking in the mountains and exploring the rainforest. Firstly we will be trekking around mt Cotopaxi, one of the tallest mountains in SA, a high altitude, technical climb requiring ice climbing equipment. Next we journey to the Amazon rainforest, Tena, where we are aiding a local community refurbish a school, whilst providing learning materials for the local children also. Finally, after all our hard efforts we will spend a week in the picturesque Galapagos Islands, for a bit of R&R. Ive had to raise £4745 in just over 1 and a half years, and Im now just about there. Id like to thank everyone who had sponsored me, given me donations or lent me any kit, it has been very much appreciated and I simply could not have done it without you!
