So, Ive shared this story many times and I really do love retelling it over and over again, but I thought I would share the link to the video and article. Several months ago, my now fiance, David Dietz, shared this with me saying how maybe he could afford a knapsack on a stick and my response was that I would be happy with just the stick. Love is what brought us together and what will keep us together, not a ring or even a stick. On Christmas morning, when I opened my gift from Dave and found an old tin lunchbox that belonged to his Grandfather, I did not remember this video nor the article, but was happy about the lunchbox because its an antique and special and I could actually use it. It wasnt until he asked me if I was planning to open it that it occurred to me that this was my LUNCHBOX! Then came the tears of joy and the proposal and my acceptance and my very excited, sweet Gabriel declaring that he was texting Grandmom and Grandpop to tell them. A whirlwind of pure joy! I did open the lunchbox and inside was a beautiful heart shaped note and a glove holding a film canister with several wooden rings of varying sizes. So, I did get my stick after all...;)
