So, Jimi Jamison is laid to rest today. My prayers remain with his family and loved ones. I know he is restored and in total joy now. As a friend of Jimis posted Rock in Peace. Jimi touched everyone through his beautiful, powerful, amazing voice and music, and also through his kindness and charity. The happy chills I have always gotten when I listen to him are veiled in sadness right now. Its still hard to believe he is gone. But he left such a legacy . . . and hopefully with time we will all listen to his music without the pain. Praying for his kids . . . and also praying that the toxicity and one-upsmanship that reared its ugly claws will go away soon. Terrible to have seen so much of that, and really wishing I hadnt seen any of it. I dont really understand it, and it is certainly not a tribute to Jimi. Does it matter who saw him more times? Who knew him better? Does that really matter? No. Not at all. What matters is that he has died ... and his children, family, and those truly close to him are struggling. Its about them. Time to change my profile picture now, I think. Jimi will live forever through his music. How truly wonderful that he has left us with such a gift! Thank you, Jimi. You wont be forgotten ever.
