So Rachael decided she wanted to stay at the not so exclusive Hotel de la Childrens again....for the eighth time this year...via a big limo that is referred to as Rurual Metro.. She did pretty OK Monday day but de-satted and coughed up copious amounts of blood Monday night. We are now in PICU with anemia and a very very low platlett count. This time they brought a hematologist into the mix who is trying to sort out why she is bleeding. Hes leaning towards an autoimmune disease like lupus or RA. Her body has just gone into a zealous, lets attack ourselves mode. Well see in the next couple of days as tests roll in. He wants to know what set it off also so hes checking her CMV titer to see if the virus has um...reactivated. She also tested positive for mono....not a recent infection so its not the culprit but I want to know who shes been a kissin? Lol! Any who, must gather provisions for our battle and head back up to the stinker. Prayers for some answers good or bad please and a speedy recovery! The only good thing is we get to vacation with Alissa Haun and her amazing tough girly, Rae....its all about perspectives, right?! I aint worried about either one of the kiddos....they fight like girls! Is it possible to admire their bravery while being scared to death as a momma? Why yes, yes it is.
