So a couple months ago I told you guys Im working on a website dedicated to bands with a Southern Maryland hook. That means bands with members from SOMD or bands from SOMD that may have moved on to other parts of the country/world. Welp, after dragging my feet for the past couple months on the project, Im dedicating all of April and beyond in getting this done. With all that being said, Im going to need your help. Folks in bands or folks who know people in bands, please send me where youre playing in May and June. One of the main features of the website will be a consolidated calendar of events for anything and everything to do with music. Bars/venues, dont be shy. Theres going to be a ton more content on the site than just a little calendar, but lets start off small and work our way up, shall we? I am also looking for people who can help me out with the overall project. I am finally realizing how big I want this project to be and its a lot. I need people that will go out and do live show reviews all over the SOMD region, people who can contact bars/venues and bands for me in order to get dates and other pertinent information, etc... I put a major emphasis on HELPING out, because I will not be able to pay anyone for their work for a while, Im sure. This is not a job quite yet, it is, however, a work of love.
