So amused to read an email advising that a sum of USD5K has been transferred to me via Western Union. This is part payment of an amount of USD800K from the Govt of Nigeria (where else?) and the United Nations (????....thrown in just to make it sound "official")! BUT....in order to access the USD5K, I have to pay an "activation fee" of USD100. Activation fee??? The money has been held by WU for far too long as the sender had tried, unsuccessfully, to contact me by phone. So, in order to activate the transfer, I have to pay USD100. Hmmmmm....I wonder how many gullible folks around the world paid up the USD100. Btw, money sent via WU which is not claimed is refundable if the sender makes an application. There is a limit/year which a person can receive via WU. This limit varies from country to country. I am sure this email originated from somewhere in the Klang Valley (Puchong??)...heh...heh
