So apparently Sanjay Gandhi National Park is given the title Lungs of the city. Same sobriquet for Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary in Kochi (and Central Park in New York), ostensibly for being a green area in an otherwise concrete jungle, providing much oxygen etc. So my question is this: Arent lungs supposed to take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide? So if anything, the rest of the city is the lungs of the city, while SGNP, MBS and CP are... Well, just oxygen cylinders. I have a feeling Tony, with his irrefutable logic, will have the answer ;-)
