So being mid-morning I was craving a VDR. Being close to the Walkerville Bakery it was the best and only option. I went with the obvious choice of pork roll, even lashing out for extra dog this time. The tiny woman behind the counter whispered the age old question, “Do you rike chirri?” with my replying being, “Yes, yes I like chilli”. With a suggestive grin on her face she began assembling the work of art I knew was to come. Knowing the rolls were freshly baked on location earlier this morning I was drooling by this stage. The construction of the pup was complete, and it was time for me to eat. The smell was enough to make me want to tuck in before I could get a table, but I knew I’d need to be seated to tackle this beast. Roll: 4.5/5, crunchy on the outside, with an inside softer than a welsh corgi. Enough crumb to need to wipe down the table, without needing to vacuum the floor. Quality. Salad: 3/5, salad was crisp, ratio was a bit outta whack, but still nice. Nice hit of corri. Chirri: 4/5, with real chirri slices throughout the pup, it was hotter than Megan Fox before she had surgery. About half way through I had to stop and think about Oprah for 30 seconds just to cool me down. Meat: 4/5, going for double meat was well worth the extra chedda! Meat was near perfect, good amount of fat but not too chewy. Good amount of crackle, not enough for me but I like to see as much crackle as Kanye West has arrogant quotes. I don’t have a photo for you guys because I never planned on reviewing, but being a long time reader I thought I’d give it a crackling. Costing $6 with the extra dog I give this kennel a solid 3.5/5. I have the feeling this is one of those adoption kennels where if you have loyalty the pups will become better and better. A tad pricey but definitely worth it if you’re in the area. Might go grab another one now.
