So far today has been... Fractured! Woke up at 7:30 and realised bloke 2 had not got up, so woke him and bloke 1: slightly mad scramble to get them both out the door so bloke 1 could be driven to work. I stayed in bed out of their way. Email and phone call from Su: slight madness with fabric order for customer. Pin put in place: can be finalised tomorrow... Hate suppliers who tell you a thing and then email you to say no they dont have it a WHOLE WEEK later! Himself gets home to find a large van parked on our drive. By the time I get out there it has moved to the neighbour with the scaffolding going up... Dont mind them parking on a spare bit of drive as we are on an awkward corner on a narrow country road, but its nice if they ask first! Himself rather stressed and tired by drive to Swanscome and back in the rush traffic on the A2/M2. Obviously needs more practice: I have suggested a refresher course in driving to readjust his habits and thinking. He has agreed this would be a good idea. Last years crash still has repercussions... BUT! The postie arrived: I now have two new pairs of trousers in slinky knit: one grey, one a sort of deep cerise! Real raspberry sorbet colour! Ta, ebay! I also have a stack of paper ice cream tubs for making ice cream for Empire. Cherry ice cream FTW. Disposable wood spoons on their way. Yesterday my lovely fabric arrived... Nesta will get a new dress for September! All the brews are bubbling away like proper brewing. The house smells like a brewery. Strange, that... I have also fielded two calls from people wanting bridesmaid/wedding/trouser alterations... And one wanting to hire wedding stuff! Thank you Yell, for putting us in Bridal SHOPS, along side people who do that sort of thing. Over £300 paid and they put us in the wrong section, so we got no work through them. Also failed to offer us either our money back or a free year in the RIGHT section. But... I have coffee. The world cannot all be bad!
